MGM and many other Orlando Attractions
My Name is Jeff Worth
I am a local professional tournament fisherman and excellent bass guide here in the Orlando/Central Florida area. I have lived here all my life and know the waters well, I can always put you on fish.
Fishing in Florida is a year round sport. Spring time is cold weather but absolutely HOT FISHING!!! Although summers can be hot in the other way and muggy, fishing can be just as hot! I recommend early morning or early evening trips to stay out of the heat, but if you want to fish and can take the heat I don't mind. I love being on the water anytime.
The Lakes that I will take you to are some of the best of Central Florida including Lake Toho, Stick Marsh, Butler Chain, Lake Jackson, Walk in Water and many other lakes that we know you will catch fish. These are all close to Disney, Universal Studios and the Central Florida attractions. So while you are here on vacation take a day to go fishing and come catch some bass with me.

What Should I bring with me during my fishing trip?
You will need to bring snacks or something to eat. Also, during the winter months it can get cold out and chilly usually Oct - May is when we start getting cold fronts and I recommend wearing layers and then as it warms up you can peel off the layers as needed. In the summer, wear shorts and light colored shirts I supply SPF 30 Sun block if you are light complected I would suggest SPF 50 since most days can be hot and sunny, protecting your skin is very important. If you do not like to use sun block then wearing a long sleeve white shirt of light material can help as well. Hats, 8 hours in the sun can even burn those with a full head of hair in which I lack by not having any (my style is shaved) less work in the morning. Sunglasses, polarized are better with amber lenses so you will be able to see the fish that I point out to you better. If you do not have polarized regular sunglasses are still good to bring along.
What can my family do while I am out on the water if they decide to not fish or just sight see?
Well, you are in Central Florida and there is a lot to do here. There is Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Busch Gardens, Sea World, Fun Spot, International Drive and many other attractions to go to. If you are looking to see the real Florida and the beauty it has to offer then here are some of my favorite places to go to. Rock Springs State Park, De Leon Springs State Park, Wekiva Springs State Park, Wekiva Falls State Park which you can visit www.floridastateparks.org, where you can go swimming in the 72 degree year around springs, canoeing, bike riding, sight seeing, check out some of the museums full of Native American artifacts and other historical facts about our state "The Real Florida" there is also Kennedy Space Center, the beaches the list is endless. On weekends you may want to get to the state parks early since they stop letting people in due to limited parking and capacity. I've been going to these parks since I was a kid and they have changed very little. Check them out you might just move here after all.
Can I bring my own rod and reels and tackle?
Absolutely, if you feel more confident with your own gear bring it along. Although we may make some recommendations on rod and reels, line type and size or lures to bring to minimize the amount of stuff that you will have to bring with you. Let us know if you are planning on bringing your own tackle, I usually do the same thing if I am going on a guide trip out of state. So, we can make sure that you are properly equipped.
Where can I get a Florida fishing license and do my kids need one?
You can go to any local Wal Mart, K Mart, Sports Authority store in the sporting goods department and get one or you can get one by calling or visiting the FWC web site below. Kids under 16 or seniors over 65 do not require a license.
